WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. — The Waukesha community is mourning the profound loss of 48-year-old Sara Marie Sobieralski, a devoted mother, loving wife, and deeply cherished friend, who passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, following a tragic collision on I-94.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred just after 9:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-94 near Springdale Road as a snowplow truck was actively clearing snow from the roadway. Investigators say Sara’s vehicle collided with the rear of the snowplow, and despite immediate emergency response efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Authorities officially identified her at 12:00 p.m. on December 9, 2025. The crash remains under investigation, and it is not yet known whether the snowplow driver was injured.
