Born October 23, 1986, Phoebe is lovingly survived by her parents, Russ and Mimi Heldman; her sisters, Mary Deaton and Mamie; and her grandparents, Marvin Nischan and her namesake, Phoebe Clark Nischan. Her life was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A Life Rooted in Creativity, Spirit, and Authenticity
Phoebe Clark was known for her rare originality—a creative force whose work reflected her sharp intuition and vibrant imagination. Whether painting, curating meaningful spaces, or designing jewelry, she infused every creation with her unmistakable touch. Her artistry was not confined to a studio; it lived in the way she observed the world, listened deeply, and found beauty in overlooked details.
A devoted steward of the natural world, Phoebe felt most at home outdoors. She delighted in unhurried walks on her favorite trails, often pausing to gather wildflowers, small treasures, and the colors of a pink sky that seemed to follow her. Nature was not only her sanctuary, but also a wellspring of inspiration and healing.
A Heart for Children and the Wonder of Learning
Phoebe brought that same joyful wonder to her work at the Waldorf Peapod Playgarden, where she was cherished for her ability to connect with young children in ways that felt both gentle and magical. She met each child with the imagination, calm presence, and curiosity that shaped her life, offering them a space to grow, explore, and feel deeply seen.
A Legacy of Love, Loyalty, and Quiet Strength
To her friends and family, Phoebe will be remembered for her fierce loyalty, her unending curiosity, and her reverence for the natural world. She lived with intention, guided by creativity, compassion, and an understanding of life’s deeper rhythms.
