BRADFORD, Pa. — The Bradford community is mourning the unexpected passing of Aaron M. Forstner Walter, 14, who passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 5, 2025, with his loyal dog, “Lois,” by his side. Born on November 20, 2011, in Billings, Montana, Aaron was the beloved son of Miles Forstner of Billings and the cherished grandson of Travis and Julie Walter of Bradford, who adopted him in 2020 after raising him as their own since 2015.
Aaron was an energetic and bright 8th-grade student at Floyd C. Fretz Middle School, where he was active in athletics, academics, and school clubs. He was a valued member of the 8th-grade basketball and football teams, the Fretz Science Club, and played baseball with the Bradford Little League. Beyond school, Aaron was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing golf and video games, and was a passionate fan of the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Family and friends remember Aaron as a fun-loving, adventurous, and spirited young man. He shared a close bond with his brother, Dillon, with whom he was “partners in crime” and could tackle anything together. His warmth, energy, and zest for life left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Aaron is survived by his father, Miles Forstner of Billings; brothers Dillon Walter of Bradford and Steven Forstner of Billings; sisters Shalynn Olson of Georgia and Alexis Forstner of Billings; grandparents Travis and Julie Walter of Bradford; maternal great-grandparents George and Irene Forstner of Laurel, Montana; and his aunt, Mykal (Matt) Willoughby of Laurel.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene, 55 North Bennett St., Bradford, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Josh Haney. In honor of Aaron, attendees are asked to wear either Bradford Owls or Buffalo Bills colors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Floyd C. Fretz Middle School, 140 Lorana Ave., Bradford, PA 16701, supporting programs that Aaron loved and benefited from during his time at school.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. Online condolences can be shared at www.maschofuneral.com.
Aaron’s life, though tragically short, was filled with love, laughter, and community spirit. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched, the joy he shared with his family, and the indelible mark he left on Bradford.
