JENKS, Okla. — It is with deep sorrow that the Tulsa community is mourning the loss of Eriyon Tecson, a 25-year-old woman remembered for her compassion, creativity, and willingness to help others. Her death has left family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken as authorities continue to pursue justice in connection with the case.
Eriyon was from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and studied at the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma, where she attended from 2019 to 2022. Those who knew her describe a young woman full of life, warmth, and ambition, with a strong passion for filmmaking and storytelling.
Family members say Eriyon had a rare ability to brighten any room she entered. Known affectionately as “Bubbles” among friends, she was recognized for her joyful spirit, her welcoming smile, and her deep care for the people around her.
According to investigators, Eriyon lost her life while attempting to help someone she believed was in distress. Police say two individuals have been charged in connection with her death, and the case remains under active investigation. Officials have emphasized that further legal proceedings are expected as the process moves forward.
Her father, Eric Tecson, said his daughter lived guided by compassion and moral conviction, noting that helping others came naturally to her.
“She always chose kindness,” he said. “That’s who she was, no matter the situation.”
Eriyon had recently celebrated her 25th birthday, a milestone her family says made her passing even more difficult to comprehend. In the midst of their grief, they are leaning on faith and community support while calling for accountability through the justice system.
As Tulsa reflects on the loss of a young life taken far too soon, Eriyon Tecson is being remembered not for the tragedy of her death, but for the light she carried, the people she uplifted, and the example of compassion she leaves behind. Her legacy continues through the many lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
