LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Los Angeles community is grieving the loss of Jeralyn “Jeri” Wirtz, one half of the social media duo “Jeri and Mike,” who passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 74 years old and had bravely faced stage 4 breast cancer for nine years, sharing her journey openly with family, friends, and her followers.
Jeri and her husband, Mike Wirtz, captured hearts worldwide with their nearly 50-year interracial love story, celebrating life, love, and family through their online presence. Their social media accounts, including Instagram, gained hundreds of thousands of followers who were inspired by their devotion and Jeri’s unbreakable spirit.
In the weeks leading up to her passing, Jeri’s health declined, and she spent time in the hospital in hopes of improvement. When her condition did not improve, she began in-home hospice care, surrounded by her family. In her final days, she enjoyed intimate moments with her children and grandchildren, including decorating the Christmas tree while listening to her favorite music, sharing memories and love with those closest to her.
Throughout her illness, Jeri was admired for her strength, optimism, and grace, inspiring countless people with her courage and ability to find joy even in difficult times.
