KINNEGAD, Ireland — With heavy hearts, the family of Kajus Zalgevicius has shared the devastating news of his passing following a tragic road accident a few nights ago. What began as an evening out to attend a Christmas party ended in an unimaginable loss, leaving loved ones and the wider Kinnegad community grieving a life taken far too soon.

Kajus, who lived in Kinnegad, was a devoted husband to Nicole and a loving father to his two young sons, Kyle and Harry, who were the center of his world. Family members say his life was guided by love, faith, and an unwavering commitment to his family. His boys were his greatest joy, and everything he did reflected his deep sense of responsibility and care for them.

His sudden passing has left his family heartbroken beyond words. His sister shared that Kajus was not only her brother, but also her strength and protector — someone she could never imagine life without. In the midst of overwhelming grief, the family has leaned on faith, asking God for strength to face a loss they never expected.

Kajus was also a cherished son to his mother, Sigute, and a deeply loved brother and family member. Those closest to him have asked for prayers for her and for all who are mourning, hoping for comfort during this profoundly painful time.

The family has shared that an ongoing investigation related to the accident has delayed bringing Kajus home, adding to the emotional weight of the loss. While they wait to lay him to rest, they have expressed trust and faith as they navigate this difficult period.

An outpouring of support has come from across Kinnegad and beyond, with friends, neighbours, and community members offering prayers, messages, and acts of kindness. The family has expressed deep gratitude for this support, saying it has brought comfort during an otherwise unbearable time.

Funeral home and burial arrangements have not yet been finalized and will be shared as soon as possible, likely in the coming days.

Kajus Zalgevicius will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, loyal brother, cherished son, and valued member of the Kinnegad community. Though his life was far too short, his love and legacy will live on through his children and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

May he rest in eternal peace, and may his family find strength and comfort in the days ahead.
