With profound sadness, we remember and honor the life of Kevin Gant, 60, of the Singleton community, whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating traffic collision on the morning of Friday, July 17.<\/p>\n

According to Attala County Coroner Sam Bell, Mr. Gant was pronounced deceased at the scene after suffering fatal injuries in the crash. His passing has left his family, friends, neighbors, and the entire community mourning the loss of a man whose life touched many.<\/p>\n

The tragic collision occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 19 South and Highway 14 East. Emergency personnel from the Attala County Fire Department, Attala County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Highway Patrol, and EMS quickly responded to reports of a serious crash involving an 18-wheeler, a propane truck, and a passenger vehicle.<\/p>\n

During the collision, the propane truck overturned, prompting concerns about a possible propane leak and requiring first responders to secure the area while providing emergency assistance. Authorities reported that the drivers of the passenger vehicle and the 18-wheeler were able to exit their vehicles and speak with responders. Tragically, Kevin Gant, who was driving the propane truck, lost his life at the scene.<\/p>\n

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.<\/p>\n
