In Loving Memory of “CJ”<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the Jackson Police Department, officers responded to the area of Larkspur Street near Holmes Avenue on the morning of Saturday, July 18, after a passerby noticed a body along the roadside and immediately called 911. When officers arrived, they discovered a young Black man, believed to be in his 20s, who had sustained what appeared to be a fatal gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

Police indicated that neighbors in the area reported hearing a gunshot sometime before midnight on Friday evening. The young man’s body was transported to the Hinds County Coroner’s Office for formal identification as investigators began working to determine exactly what happened. At the time of the initial announcement, authorities had not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.<\/p>\n
