Preliminary investigators reported that a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Donna Jean Cole, was backing out of a private driveway in an attempt to travel northbound on Bacon Road when it was struck on the front passenger side by a southbound 2007 Honda TRX250 four-wheeler.<\/p>\n

Harvey was operating the four-wheeler with 17-year-old Ethan Lee Kitts riding as a passenger. Authorities stated that neither teenager was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, and both were ejected from the vehicle. Investigators also reported that the four-wheeler was not equipped with a functioning headlight and was not authorized for roadway use.<\/p>\n

Despite the immediate response from first responders, Harvey suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Ethan was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
