With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we remember the lives of Aaliyah Olivarez and Brandon Vanwormer-Shepard, whose lives were tragically cut short following a devastating single-vehicle crash in Saginaw, Michigan, late Sunday night. Their sudden passing has left their families, friends, and the entire community mourning an unimaginable loss.<\/p>\n

According to the Saginaw Police Department, the tragic crash occurred shortly before midnight on June 28, at the intersection of South Washington Avenue and Gallagher Avenue. Emergency responders arrived to find the vehicle’s engine compartment completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters with the Saginaw Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze, but despite the efforts of first responders and medical personnel, the outcome was heartbreaking.<\/p>\n

Aaliyah Olivarez, who was riding in the front passenger seat, was transported to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Brandon Vanwormer-Shepard, who was seated in the rear of the vehicle, was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, a 24-year-old Saginaw woman, survived the crash and remains hospitalized as investigators continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.<\/p>\n
