Every shift she worked reflected her passion for emergency medical services and her deep compassion for those experiencing some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Whether responding to medical emergencies, comforting frightened families, or mentoring new EMS professionals, Ashley exemplified what it truly meant to serve with both skill and heart.

As a respected Field Training Officer, Ashley played an instrumental role in shaping the next generation of paramedics. She shared her knowledge generously, encouraged those around her, and led by example every single day. Her calm demeanor, strength under pressure, and genuine kindness earned the admiration and respect of colleagues throughout Cleveland County and beyond.

To her family and friends, Ashley was far more than a first responder. She was a loving daughter, a treasured friend, a trusted confidant, and someone whose smile could brighten even the darkest day. Her caring nature extended beyond the ambulance and into every relationship she built. She possessed a rare ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued, leaving lasting impressions wherever she went.

The tragic loss of Ashley has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her passing is not only a heartbreaking loss for her family and friends but also for the entire emergency medical services community, which has lost one of its most dedicated and compassionate professionals.

Authorities have arrested and charged Jared ONeil Logan in connection with the crash that resulted in Ashley’s death. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol charged Logan with Driving While Impaired, Reckless Driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, and second-degree murder. He is currently being held at the Gaston County Jail without bond as the investigation continues.

While the legal process moves forward, the focus remains on honoring Ashley’s extraordinary life, her years of dedicated service, and the countless lives she touched. Her selfless commitment to helping complete strangers in their moments of greatest need represents the very best of the EMS profession. Her courage, compassion, and unwavering sense of duty will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Ashley leaves behind a legacy defined not only by the emergencies she responded to but by the hope she gave, the comfort she offered, and the lives she helped save. Her dedication reminds us that true heroes often work quietly, asking for nothing in return except the opportunity to help another person.

As family, friends, fellow first responders, and the Cleveland County community grieve this unimaginable loss, may they also find comfort in remembering the incredible woman Ashley was. Though her time on earth was far too short, the impact of her life will continue to echo through every life she touched, every colleague she mentored, and every patient she compassionately cared for.

Ashley Moore’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the community she faithfully served. Her legacy of kindness, courage, sacrifice, and service will never be forgotten.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her family, friends, coworkers, and all who mourn her find strength, comfort, and healing in the treasured memories she leaves behind.
