SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The families of Anneka Wilson, 18, of Springville, and her beloved boyfriend, Leo, also 18, are heartbroken to share the devastating news of their passing on November 29, 2025, following a tragic head-on collision on Interstate 15 in Salt Lake City. The young couple was traveling north to spend Thanksgiving weekend with family when a wrong-way driver struck their vehicle, ending two beautiful lives far too soon.

Remembering Anneka — A Bright Light from Springville

Anneka, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, was known for her gentle spirit and her genuine kindness. With high school graduation just months away, she was excited for her future and planned to pursue a career in radiology, hoping to help others through meaningful work. Loved ones say she had a natural gift for compassion and a “zest for life” that lifted the people around her.

Her brother, Hallister, described her as someone who cared deeply for everyone she met. “If there is anything she would want to be remembered for, it would be her love and kindness for others,” he shared.

Remembering Leo — Devoted and Full of Heart

Leo, remembered by family and friends as compassionate, thoughtful, and soft-spoken, shared a special bond with Anneka. He adored his family and cherished Anneka with a sincerity beyond his years.

“He loved his family, and he loved Anneka more than anyone I know,” Hallister said.

A Love That Inspired Many

Anneka and Leo’s connection was admired by everyone who saw them together. They encouraged one another, dreamed together, and shared a joy that made their future look bright. Their families and community are devastated by the loss of two young people who brought so much hope and happiness to those around them.

Community Support and Healing

A GoFundMe page has been created to support Anneka’s family with memorial expenses and to help them through this unimaginable time. A fundraiser for Leo is expected to be organized soon. Both families have expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support.

“We’ve lost two beautiful young souls,” Hallister said. “Our hearts are shattered, and the world feels dimmer without them.”

Forever in Our Hearts

Anneka and Leo leave behind parents, siblings, extended family members, and countless friends who are grieving deeply. Their memory will live on through the kindness they showed, the love they shared, and the lives they touched.

May Anneka and Leo rest in eternal peace, forever together and forever loved.
