With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we remember the life of Anthony Stoy-Velazquez, who tragically passed away at the age of 26. Anthony’s life was taken far too soon, leaving behind countless dreams, cherished memories, and loved ones who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. No words can truly express the pain of losing someone so young, or the heartbreak felt by those who knew and loved him. His passing is a reminder of how precious and fragile life truly is.

According to authorities, emergency crews responded at approximately 1:05 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, to the intersection of North Third Street and Linden Street in Columbia Borough, Lancaster County, after receiving reports of an injured person. When officers arrived, they found Anthony in the eastbound lane of the 200 block of Linden Street suffering from an apparent stab wound to the chest.

Law enforcement officers immediately began life-saving efforts, which were continued by emergency medical personnel upon their arrival. Despite every effort made to save him, Anthony sadly succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking tragedy.

Today, however, Anthony is remembered for much more than the tragic way his life ended. He is remembered as a beloved son, family member, friend, and member of his community. Those fortunate enough to know him will forever cherish the moments they shared, the conversations that brought smiles, the laughter that filled the room, and the kindness he extended to others.
