With heavy hearts, we remember and honor the life of Ahmod Henry, whose passing has left his family, friends, and community grieving an immeasurable loss. His death has brought profound sadness to everyone who knew him, and during this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences to all who are mourning his passing.

According to the Tulsa Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 4:15 a.m. on July 19, 2026, outside the Flavourz after-hours lounge near 71st Street and Memorial Drive. Security personnel reported that a large crowd had gathered in the parking lot, where people were socializing and drinking. They also advised that one individual had been displaying a firearm before multiple shots rang out, sending people fleeing the area.

When officers arrived, they located numerous shell casings but initially found no victims at the scene. A short time later, around 4:30 a.m., 47-year-old Ahmod Henry was transported from the area of Flavourz to a nearby hospital after suffering a gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, he sadly passed away from his injuries.

As detectives worked to determine what happened, Homicide Detectives reviewed video surveillance at the scene of the shooting, which showed the suspect, 28-year-old Ladrea Doyle, leaving the scene. Investigators later located Doyle at an apartment near 81st Street and Yale Avenue, where he was taken into custody by Tulsa Police officers.

Authorities stated that Doyle admitted to the shooting but claimed the victim had been causing problems at the gathering and attempted to grab the firearm before it was discharged. Following consultation with the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office, Doyle was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of Second-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm After Former Conviction of a Felony.

It is important to note that these are criminal charges only. An arrest is not a conviction, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
