What followed was a coordinated response involving multiple agencies, including Poinsett County Search and Rescue, the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Deputies, the Lepanto Police Department, and the Lepanto Fire Department. First responders worked tirelessly and urgently, deploying boats and aerial drone support in an attempt to locate the missing individual.

Despite these efforts, Treyonte Smith was later found in the water. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities confirmed that his body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Keltric Smith was taken into custody at the scene and later processed on charges of Assault in the Second Degree and Second Degree Criminal Mischief.
