With profound sadness, we remember Tangla Brown, 48, of Dearing, Georgia, whose life came to a tragic end Wednesday evening following a vehicle crash along Old Milledgeville Road in McDuffie County.

According to the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 5:07 p.m. in the 2700 block of Old Milledgeville Road, near Wire Road. Authorities said Tangla was traveling east when her vehicle left the roadway. She attempted to correct the vehicle’s path, but it crossed the center line before leaving the opposite side of the road and entering the wooded area.

Emergency personnel and authorities responded to the scene. Tangla was pronounced deceased at approximately 5:45 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

The Georgia State Patrol and the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
