Preliminary information from investigators indicates that Honeycutt was driving a 2012 Honda Odyssey when he approached the intersection of State Route 235 and County Road 13. At the same time, another driver was traveling north on State Route 235 in a Ram pickup truck.
Authorities said Honeycutt failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection, where the Honda collided with the pickup truck. The force of the crash sent both vehicles off the west side of the roadway before they came to rest in the private driveway.
Honeycutt was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ram pickup truck was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as minor.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said both drivers were wearing seat belts. Investigators also believe heavy fog may have contributed to the circumstances surrounding the crash, although the investigation remains ongoing.
