In Loving Memory of Davion
GENESEE TOWNSHIP, Michigan — With heavy hearts, the community mourns the loss of Davion, a 14-year-old boy whose life came to a heartbreaking end on August 14, 2026. His passing has left family, friends, neighbors, and all those who knew him facing a profound sense of grief and sadness.
According to the Genesee Township Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 9:15 p.m. Friday to a residence in the 700 block of Morgan Drive after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers arrived at the home, they discovered Davion deceased inside the residence.
At just 14 years old, Davion had so much of life still ahead of him. His death is a painful reminder of how quickly a family’s world can change and how deeply the loss of a young life can affect an entire community. Behind every investigation is a family now left to face the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to a child.
During the investigation, police went to a nearby address where two subjects were taken into custody. Authorities have not released additional details about their identities or the circumstances surrounding the incident, as the investigation remains active.
Police have indicated that the incident appears to have been isolated and that there is currently no indication of an ongoing threat to the surrounding community. Investigators continue working to establish exactly what happened and to understand the circumstances that led to Davion’s death.
