According to the DeWitt Police Department, the tragic accident occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. Monday near the interchange of Interstate 481 northbound and Interstate 690. Investigators reported that Jaclyn lost control of her motorcycle while traveling northbound on Interstate 481 and was thrown from the motorcycle before being struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with investigators as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Emergency responders worked tirelessly at the scene, closing portions of Interstate 481 and Interstate 690 for several hours while the investigation was conducted. Despite every effort, Jaclyn’s life could not be saved, leaving an entire community devastated by the heartbreaking loss.
