With profound sadness, family members, friends, and communities across Acushnet and New Bedford are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Tristan Bedient, 34, of Acushnet, and Kate Aldrich, 51, of New Bedford, whose lives were tragically cut short following a devastating motor vehicle collision on Friday evening.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Tristan and Kate were the victims of a fatal two-vehicle crash on Route 6 near the Dartmouth–Westport line. The blue Toyota Camry they were traveling in sustained catastrophic damage during the collision, leaving loved ones and the surrounding community devastated by the unimaginable loss.

The sudden passing of Tristan and Kate has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew them. Their deaths serve as a painful reminder of how precious and fragile life truly is. As family and friends begin the difficult journey through grief, they also hold tightly to the countless memories, laughter, kindness, and love that Tristan and Kate shared throughout their lives.
